I never get these things right ... until now! From the very first episode of this season's Design Star on HGTV, Emily Henderson was my favorite. I actually felt kind of bad that she was my favorite figuring that because of that there was no way she would win.
I liked that she was quirky and eclectic and she has such a fun personality. She seems very down to earth and she doesn't take herself too seriously. She was also very kind. I could totally hang out with this girl!
Check out some of the photo's from her portfolio. She has styled for Target, Domino Magazine, Coastal Living, Real Simple, Garnet Hill and Martha among others. So very talented!
This has to be my favorite. Love all that green!
Stunning!
I cannot wait to watch her new show - Secrets From a Stylist - The premiere is this Sunday night on HGTV! I am looking forward to seeing more of her designs and also to see what adorable outfit she has thrown together for herself. She has the cutest clothes!
Emily also writes a blog - The Brass Petal - you can find it here. I just stumbled across it today and I cannot wait to sit down and read more! To see more of her portfolio click here. It is full of gorgeous images!

You will love Emily's blog. I liked her from the start and was crossing my fingers that she would stay. I thought that was a good call using Tom as her inspiration. He does have a nice personal style.
ReplyDeleteShe seems so sweet and, you're right, very kind. Did you notice the way Nina gave her a nasty sideways look during the finale? Love her style and can't wait to watch her new show.
I watched Design Star, too, and was glad she won! I can't wait to see here show, of course!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know she had a blog... I'm definitely gonna check it out! Thanks for the heads-up.
Have a great week!

...talented lady!...I will be watching for her show!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty work! I didn't watch this time around, but am glad to know a deserving person won!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad she won too! She seems very sweet! And I like her eclectic bohemian vintage style! Although, the show, in general, needs some help!

She is so talented, I am so excited for her new show as well...can't wait! :)
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog via Good Girl Gone Glad and love it! I liked Emily too from the beginning. Her rooms were great (loved the glass sun-room), and I am thrilled she won.
