Please excuse the Monday Mix back to back, but last week was a bit busy. N got sick - I went to The Bloom Workshop - Andrew Bird Concert - My neighbor's Jazz band performance - and we had my Grandma's 100th birthday celebration - plus served coffee at church. Had to make cupcakes twice because while we were out our little friend pulled my containers off of the counter, and it looked like she put up quite a fight trying to get them out. She was a little successful. I'm thinking she thought that it was a 100th birthday party so I should make 100 cupcakes - not a mere 50. So, being organized didn't pay off this time. I was really so shocked that I just picked them up and took them straight to the dumpster - kind of like did that really just happen? Oh well, I was back at the store at 8am on Saturday so I could rebake everything. Now to get some frosting out of the carpet :) My Grandma's parties were really fun!
So, after all that information here is this weeks mix. A little bit moody ...
Zak + Fox textiles - All the squares on the left and right sides of this board are fabrics from Zac + Fox. When I stumbled upon them I liked them all so much - so many patterns and colors that you can mix and match. I would love a collection of their pillows to place on a nice white slipcoverd sofa. They really have that found over time look.
1220 Ceramics Studio planters are 3 x 3 inches and come in a variety of colors. Just adorable - great for succulents or air plants or just little flower arrangements. You can find them here.
This moody wall mural is so good! It is called Foggy Hills and can be ordered in custom sizes. I'd love to put this in Josh's room.
The Cooper Dining Chair has a nice vintage look. They also offer benches, Counter Stools, and a dining table in this same collection. The Cooper Dining Table has a hidden ice bucket in the center of it's top. Might be fun to use as a kids craft table and fill the middle part with crayons, etc. Or maybe even plant a herb garden for the kitchen.
The Mira Chest - made of white cedar and whitewashed it is the perfect size to use as a nightstand. It's pulls are antique brass and it's 25% off right now. I think they would look great with that wallpaper behind them.
This is my dream mixer - the Kitchen Aid Pro Line 7-quart shiny copper mixer. For a better priced version this Kitchen Aid 6-quart in copper pearl is also a nice option.
This 5.5 quart pot in graphite gray - I've liked this color for awhile now - it's a nice neutral option.
For the Dad in your life that likes to drink this vodka shooter caddy is both functional and good looking. The shooters are made of soapstone - pop them in the freezer until you are ready to use and it will keep your shots cold without adding any ice.
The last thing on this weeks mix is x pattern wall tile - what a fun alternative to traditional subway tile (which I also find to be a perfect timeless choice). I really picture this being used in a shower.
I think I could use all of the elements here (except the kitchen items) and they would be the start to a tranquil bed and bathroom situation. Hope you enjoy this weeks mix.
