Pineapple Upside-Down Cake
This recipe makes such a delicious cake. For me it brings back childhood memories of celebrations.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes in a 13 x 9 inch glass pan
1 box Betty Crocker yellow cake mix
1 16 oz. can pineapple rings in juice (keep the juice for the cake mix part)
maracino cherries, small jar
1 cup brown sugar
(this is my friend Marci's recipe and she says buy this at Trade Joe's because it is courser)
1/2 cup melted butter
Preheat oven
Spray Pan
Melt butter in a saucepan - then mix in the brown sugar
Spread this mixture in the bottom of the pan
Arrange pineapple rings and cherries on top
Prepare cake mix according to the instructions except replace water with the pineapple juice from the can
Pour batter over the pineapple and cherries and bake.
After cake is finished and out of the oven wait a few minutes and then flip the cake over onto your serving tray.
Love this!!!
Enjoy!
