Snow! Movie! Popcorn!

11:00 AM

Josh and Noah had so much fun yesterday making snow forts and sledding!   When they came inside we enjoyed hot chocolate, popcorn, and the movie UP which was so-ooo good!  We decided to stir things up a little by making white chocolate popcorn.  It's no fuss and delicious.

White Chocolate Popcorn

1 bag of butter flavored microwave popcorn
1 c. Nestle white chocolate morsels
colored sugar for sprinkling

Pop popcorn in microwave as directed.  Place the popped kernels in a large container to cool.  Make sure you toss out any kernels that didn't pop.  I like to use a large Tupperware container.

Melt chocolate morsels in the microwave and then pour chocolate over the popcorn.  Cover the container with it's lid and shake gently until popcorn is covered with chocolate.  Spread popcorn onto wax paper.  If desired, sprinkle with colored sugar.  Let cool for about 5 minutes.  Break up the popcorn into a bowl and enjoy it's salty sweetness!

This is also really good to make for school birthday treats.  Sprinkle it with sugar in their school or favorite colors!  It's unexpected,  fun, and the kid's love it!
