Jalapeno Popper Dip - great recipe for the big game. People devour this stuff. Your dip will be more or less spicy depending on how hot your peppers are. Give one a taste and then decide if you want to use more or less than the recipe calls for.
Jalapeno Popper Dip - 10 servings
2 - 8 oz. packages of cream cheese - I use the 1/3 less fat
1 c. mayo - I use Hellmans light
1 c. shredded mexican blend cheese
1/2 c. grated parmesan cheese
4 oz. can diced green chilies
5 fresh seeded jalapeno peppers, diced (use more for a hotter dip)
1 c. panko breadcrumbs
1/2 c. grated parmesan
1/4 c. butter, melted
Grease a pie pan or 2 quart baking dish.
Mix the first 6 ingredients together and spread into your dish.
Combine the panko, 1/2 c. parmesan, and melted butter. Sprinkle this over the dip. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes or until top is browned and bubbly.
Serve with tortilla chips, baguette slices, or crackers.
Pretty simple, but big on flavor.
