Overall it was a table full of the candy colors I like most.  If you stay true to colors that you really like when you are out shopping you will find that everything will work together.  Use what you love - and really use them - they may get broken but isn't it better to get them out of the cupboard and enjoy them.  Pretty much a few times a year things I really like get broken.  This year I lost a goodwill find vintage plate at 4th of July, I lost a Nora Fleming retired yellow egg this Easter, and usually there is at least one broken wine glass each year.  In the end they are just things - most can be replaced - I just don't worry about it since things aren't the important part of life.  I might be a bit upset at the moment - but it does pass quickly for me.  Hope you enjoyed our Easter table.

Hello.  Here is Monday Mix 03 - A mix of skincare items that I use daily - a dress brand that is always so comfortable - home items I could see myself buying - and some outdoor furniture that looks nicer that some of the furniture inside of my house - who knew outdoor furniture could be so stylish and fun.  So here it goes ...



This dress by Cloth & Stone looks like another one I would enjoy wearing alone or tossed on over skinny jeans.  I have a navy plaid one similar to this that I bought from them a couple years ago.

Mint metal oval bookend lamp - creative and fun.   On sale for $39.

Seriously - these are outdoor chairs!  They come in a whole bunch of colors, but I'm kinda partial to the  mint and blue.

100% Pure makes some of my very favorite skincare.  Their luminous primer feels amazing on my face and it smells so-ooo good.  It's refreshing and it's scent is calming.  I'll be sharing more of my favorites from 100% Pure as time goes on.  It's skincare you can feel good about using.

Micellar water - lifesaver.  Ever feel so tired at night that you just don't have it in you to even wash your face?   I'm guilty.  This is where Micellar Water by Simple makes my life easier.  Just saturate a cotton round with the water and gently wipe across your face.  It usually takes 2 rounds for my makeup to be fully removed.   Note that it won't remove your mascara - but all the rest of your eye makeup will be gone.  It's also nice because there is no scent to be bothered with.

Slip on's are a favorite of mine and this pair by Tom's looks great for Spring.  I have this same pair in the gunmetal (on sale now) and they are really comfortable  and true to size.  I just wore them with a gray sweatshirt dress that I got at Old Navy a couple of years ago (this dress is the same style of my dress) and this J. Crew necklace.

This mirror has such a pretty edge.  Simple and pretty :)

Heavenly Palette 2 artwork - colors inspired by those found in nature - I've wanted this for some time now - I just need to order it.

This is one cabinet I could see using in my foyer - it's the Townsend cabinet by Theodore Alexander.   52 inches wide - 35.5 high.  I have a very old shaker table in my foyer right now with zero storage so something where I could store hats and gloves and dog collars would be very helpful.

Ladders - really want one of these for blankets in the Winter and beach towels in the Summer.  Two I really like are the solid white here and the dipped ladder here.

This Kate Spade stripe shirtdress is very cheerful.  Since putting this on my board I've seen a couple fashion bloggers wearing the skirt version, and I actually really don't like the skirt.   I find it hard to wear skirts though - it's uncomfortable to keep everything sitting just right and they can get bulky and messy at the waist.  I prefer the ease of tossing on a dress.

Succulents -  You can find them at your garden store.  Home Depot had a really nice selection as well. I got mine there.

Rose gold - another finish I can't get enough of lately.  This glass and rose gold vanity tray would be perfect in the bathroom or by the bedside to put your important trinkets in.  Jewelry, chapsticks, essential oils, room spray, etc.

Take Me Home - I watched this movie last week and can't say enough good things about it.  I completely enjoyed following the characters.  There was so much said even in the moments where there was just quiet.  It is terrific!!!

This Galley Guest Chest caught my eye.

Pacifica lip tint in blood orange.  I have this - it's so-ooo good.  When you are wearing it you can smell the blood orange so that is really pleasant.  Also, if I'm out and I see myself and think "My am I pale" I just rub some in a circle on the apple of my cheeks and then blend it in with my fingers.  Dual purpose, nice shade, and it feels and smells good!  You can find it here.

So, I'm picky about drinking glasses.  Other than some cow glasses I have I must say I really like a thin rimmed glass.  I have some glasses I need to replace, and I'm thinking about getting these.  They are thin and they stack - which I need all the cupboard space I can get.  They are really pretty as well in this light green shade.

I am getting this pineapple dog collar for Guinness - I'm liking pineapples and flamingo's as of late.

Clare V makes some of the best clutches.  I got this caramel and pink leather clutch for a gift.  Looking forward to using it soon.

My gladiator sandals I bought a few years back are wearing out.  I'm thinking of replacing them with this Georgina studded sandal.

Another really nice nightstand.  My oldest really needs nightstands so these are just two of many options I found out there.  I actually made him a board with his bed beside each nightstand so he could get a better idea of what they would look like.

The Container Store - Our Best Box - I really wish that they would sell these online.  I can't find a simple white box like this anywhere else.  I want to use them for storage badly.

Rebecca Minkoff - Finn Crossbody Purse in Sunshine.  I have this in rose gold and it goes with everything.   The crossbody design is also so easy to toss on and run errands with.  The fringe also bounces around with each step.  A couple of summers ago I had a yellow clutch that went with everything (at least in my matching not matching way)  I'm tempted to get this bag too.  It's on sale!

Hello again.  I've taken such a long break from this blog - but I'm going to be better with sharing the things that inspire me - things to make, home decor and design, sometimes fashion.  Really whatever sparks my interest.  Here is one of my favorite recipes.

We went to Mexico in February and when I got back I couldn't wait to eat some Mexican food.  Where we stayed they really didn't have any (insert sad face) - we did have a delicious authentic Mexican lunch the day we did some zip lining at .  Oh - did I ever enjoy every single bite!!!   The extreme canopy zip lining and walking across rickety swaying high bridges with a variety of foot patterns - not so much!  Heights are not my thing - the boys of my household know that but decided that I was doing it with them.  I made it through a few of the adventures and then bowed out for the majority of them.  Terrifying to me.  I can't even think about it.

Today I'm sharing my recipe for Toasted Pecan Chicken Enchilada's.  Not necessarily authentic type Mexican, but they are so delicious and unique.  You start by combining onion and pecans with butter and frying them until the onions are tender and the pecans are roasted a bit.  This is the start to a really great blend of unique flavors.  My family loves them - hope you will too!

Toasted Pecan Chicken Enchilada's

1/4 c. chopped pecans
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 T. butter

3 oz. package cream cheese, softened
1 T. milk
1/4 t. ground cumin
2 c. chopped cooked chicken

6 - 8 inch flour tortillas (I usually use Azteca)

10 3/4 oz. can Campbell's Healthy Choice cream of chicken soup
8 oz. carton sour cream
1 c. milk

1 c. shredded sharp cheddar
2 T. chopped pecans

In a medium skillet cook the 1/4 c. pecans and onion in margarine until onion is tender and pecans are lightly toasted.  Remove from heat.

In a bowl combine softened cream cheese, 1 T. milk, and cumin.  Add nut mixture and chicken.  Stir together until well combined.

Spoon about 1/3 cup chicken mixture onto each tortilla near one edge; roll up.  Place filled tortillas seam side down in a greased 2-quart square baking dish.

In a bowl combine soup, sour cream, and 1 c. milk.  Pour the soup mixture evenly over the tortillas in the baking dish.  Cover with foil.  Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.  Remove foil and sprinkle with 1 cup shredded cheddar and remaining chopped pecans.  Bake for 4-5 more minutes more or until cheese has melted.
